The only rabbit that have been available around where I live are the animal shelter, this psycho foster program and breeders. My preference is the aninal humane society. They make sure the animal isn't sick or has unknown health issues before selling. The problem has been they only ever has older mystery animals. Call me names all you want but I don’t want to buy a 6 year old English lop for example. One that's a very old bunny for that breed, 2 they have their own baggage and three, the emotional price for a financial investment like this is too high. I cannot buy a animal that might be dead of old age in a year that's not fair. Sometimes babies and young bunnies show up, but I don’t camp in front of the door so for the last year I've missed out. The foster people are not options. They're too invasive. They're too expensive. And they are too defensive. It shouldn't be a week long epic to just get a chance to see the animal. Another week to finally buy it is madness. I cannot be the only one pissed with these hoarders. The stock has barely changed over a year. I think two rabbits have been adopted from their society. That's 40ish rabbits spread out among fosters that have not. Lastly are the breeders. They have three downsides, distances, price and potential hidden defects. They are way more expensive upfront and that sucks. The sketchy ones also make sick buns. But I at least know more about a rabbit and it's baggage. It's aggravating. All the available rabbits around here are either old and the family didn't want to deal with it. Being gatekept by freaks or a morale and financial dilemma. Ideally, young bun from shelter first. Young bun from reputable breeder second.

Thanks for your videos. If you want free DIY snuffle mat, just take some big carton box, fill it with some small carton/paper things like toilet paper rolls and just throw the treats into the box.. my bunny always jumps in and has to find it in there :) Only it doesnt look so aestetical, but you can put some posters on the box

Honey… my rabbit is fcking happy in her cage… i put her out of the cage, she’s playing a bit and them lets me know that she wants to go in the cage. She is literally begging me to put her in the cage :).

I feel like they deteriorate very quickly with debris from the food overtime even if I try to shake out any excess that may have been left over, what do you guys do to keep up with your foraging mats to keep it in tip top shape? 40$ is just a lot to constantly replace any advice is welcomed 🙏🏽

My rabbit is going through it right now, it has happened a couple times before, always when the vet is closed so I gotta treat it at home. I read a bunch of stuff I couldn't ever get her to drink while she had gi stasis but then on the internet I read that if you put some herbs in a bowl and fill it with water it could help encourage them to drink more so I tried it and I don't know what's the name of the herb in English but on the internet I found it helps with digestion and I couldn't get her to drink pure water but when I put a couple leaves in she starts to drink at least a bit and then massages and giving some greens with water on it so she gets some more water in and she had gone through it every time. I try to get her to drink every couple minutes and she drinks at least a little bit and eat a little bit too so I think she's going to be fine wish me luck. I did this a couple times and I've already seen her get up and walk around a little bit.
